Feature and improvement suggestions

Feedback from users like you help us shape and improve Eos for all productions. We receive a large number of feature requests and suggestions from many sources, including this forum. Your comments and votes help us understand which features you’re passionate about, but there are many additional factors which inform development prioritization for any given release.

The most helpful information you can provide us when commenting on issues is how a particular suggestion would help you. If you describe your use-case and how the suggested change would benefit your work, it lets us gain a much deeper understanding of the need behind the suggestion. Suggestions often have an impact on what we work on, even if we ultimately choose not to implement a suggestion exactly as it’s described. Our ultimate goal is to understand what you and all users need and to create solutions that meet those needs. Occasionally, that’ll mean implementing a suggestion as described, but it usually means working to understand the need behind the suggestion and how we can meet that need for as many users as possible.

While we endeavor to update and respond to popular suggestions, the volume we receive means there will be occasions when we can’t provide an update or response in a timely manner. For bugs and show-critical issues, please use our standard forums and support structures: https://www.etcconnect.com/Contact/Technical-Support.aspx

  • Add Support for Multicell Fixtures in Magic Sheets

I would love the ability to see and quickly/easily duplicate multicell fixtures in magic sheets with a single reference point, like if you could assign a "leader" channel to one object in a group to be the channel's master intensity and the rest of the...
  • Default Mark Time per channel in patch or per fixture type

Default Mark Time per channel in patch or at least per fixture type would be great as it would come in so handy when you work with scrollers and media servers / LEDs in the same show. That would be awesome!

It would be great if we could get a handful of basic objects commonly found in concerts. Mic stands, keyboards, drum kit, etc.

Hey there, I'd like to be able to map show control events to faders, not only to submasters etc. Thanks Lars
  • Definable Zero Point

Can we make it so that we can re-define the zero point inside of A3D? Often my zero point in my drafting is a reference point rather than the center of my drawing. A3D seems to really like using the Zero point as a starting point for the camera views...
  • Auto start/stop cue list

I would love an MA-like feature where cue lists can auto-start, and auto-release when you bring the fader up and down. This could help in a number of busking situations, and also prevent inexperienced operators from having additional cue lists playing...
  • Feature request: A proper, native toggle for magic sheets

For example, a button that alternates between two commands. You could then specify an icon for each command. Super useful for simple OSC RX Enable/Disable commands and similar functions. The copying macros around or cuelist toggle workarounds are just...
