Feature and improvement suggestions

Feedback from users like you help us shape and improve Eos for all productions. We receive a large number of feature requests and suggestions from many sources, including this forum. Your comments and votes help us understand which features you’re passionate about, but there are many additional factors which inform development prioritization for any given release.

The most helpful information you can provide us when commenting on issues is how a particular suggestion would help you. If you describe your use-case and how the suggested change would benefit your work, it lets us gain a much deeper understanding of the need behind the suggestion. Suggestions often have an impact on what we work on, even if we ultimately choose not to implement a suggestion exactly as it’s described. Our ultimate goal is to understand what you and all users need and to create solutions that meet those needs. Occasionally, that’ll mean implementing a suggestion as described, but it usually means working to understand the need behind the suggestion and how we can meet that need for as many users as possible.

While we endeavor to update and respond to popular suggestions, the volume we receive means there will be occasions when we can’t provide an update or response in a timely manner. For bugs and show-critical issues, please use our standard forums and support structures: https://www.etcconnect.com/Contact/Technical-Support.aspx

  • More fader configuration options

    • Planned for Future on
Hey there, would be great to be able to have more possibilities to configure fader and buttons. For example: a button that flashes the fader to the opposite side while pressing being able to change fader ranges in submasters (being able to have...
  • Color Pickers In Magic Sheet

Hi, My idea is to have the ability to insert a color picker into a magic sheet as an object. -Campbell
  • Conditional Formatting of EOS Magic Sheet Objects

I would love to be able to set the color of a magic sheet object either directly through OSC or through setting up conditions in the object properties itself. For example, I'm building a small cue light system. I'm sending: /qlite/out/department/1...
  • Subs on Direct Selects

Hi there, It would be nice to have the subs on direct selects and tapping the tile would be like a direct action or like you pressed the bump button. This would be a more flexible alternative to having the fader module open with the fader suppressed...
  • Color-code cues in the PSD

Would be very handy to be able to color code (either with a color flag as a new column or the whole row being shaded) cues in the PSD similar to how this is done in QLAB. Would only need 10 or so basic colors to choose from. Can see lots of possibilties...
  • add XYZ Format Enable/Disable in ML controls

Currently the only place to find the "XYZ Format Enable/Disable" button is in Encoder Display. For ML Controls users (particularly Nomad), it would be great to have the same button/same functionality in the ML controls tab and ML controls pop-up.
  • Data Organization: Submaster and Macro decimal points

    • Planned for Future on
Without an object such as SUB 101.1 or MACRO 101.1, one cannot create an organized show file. Since the functionality already exists for presets, palettes, groups and snapshots, it would be beneficial if there was the ability to maintain one concept through...
  • Timecode Timeline + Controls

It would be great if there was some form of timeline window similar to grandma2 that allows you to view Timecode events on a timeline, rather than just viewing times from the show control list. Allowing for easier edits. And it’s also worth considering...
  • Allow [-] [Query]

we can use [-] to invert the following selection, like [-] [Select Active]. this doesn't work with [-] [Query]. i'm aware that query itself can use [Is In] and [Isn't In], but there are conditions that don't listed to those. one of the syntaxes i would...
