Well, I don't mean the physical DP2000, but add a virtual one on top of the DP8000 that is automatically shown in v3.0.0 or v3.0.1.....that's how I got WYG to start working again.
I have tried everything you guys suggested and have looked up many other vista threads. I disabled all network adaptor except the Realtek Gigabit Ethernet. Check the network settings and made sure it is set to obtain an IP address automatically on the Internet Protocol Version 4 and Version 6. Along with everthing I said in my earlier post(UAC off, Firewall off and windows defender off). I tried to connect to my dp2000 and it is doing the same thing. Just says connecting no server and bounces between checking software version and Scanning port 6600. I upgraded to 3.0.1 2425 today from 3.0.0 and that didn't help. I am stumped. When I go into the control panel then network it says "Disconected" in the Link State. The funny thing is it updated my DP2000 so it definetly sees it but can't connect. Sorry to waste everyone's time but help would be greatly appriciated.

The network should be online to make packets running. If you can't connect your Gigabit Ethernet to the network, or you have problems with IP allocation, you should disable it and focus on Microsoft Loopback adaptor - this is virtual network for inpc communications (typically you can find it in Windows "Add Hardware" wizard).
I added the windows loopback adapter and disabled the gigabit ethernet. In the Network Control Panel there are no choices for HogNet Adapters. This is so frustration. this is due to fact that you have only one adapter active.
So for now: 1. Enable your Gigabit Ethernet Adaper to make up adapters list in HOGPC Network Control Panel. 2. Check is your Microsoft Loopback Adapter up and running. If it has limited connection or another problem, set it TCP/IP Properties to any fixed address in your network, 192.168.0.255 for example. 3. Focus in HOGPC Network Control Panel on the Loopback Adapter, select "Use default IP settings" and Apply. It will be switched to "Obtain an IP address using DHCP" and you will see correct IP than.

I only have one connection. I'm just trying to get my DP2000 connected to my laptop running Hog 3pc 3.0.1 2425 I'm using a cross over cable. I have followed the directions perfectly. Unchecked DHCP on the Dp and set the IP and subnet manualy. I also tried it with DCHP checked. I just don't get why it's not working.:dunno: They must be able to see each other cause my Hog 3pc updated my DP.
I think there must be some setting or program that Asus has that's not letting me connect to the DP. I can connect to the internet so I know the Ethernet port works. I am about to go purchase a copy of XP(what a waste). I know you guys have given me many things to try but any more suggestions. Is anyone on here successful with an Asus machine running Vista with Hog3pc? Sorry for the frustration but i have been working on this for a week. Thanks everyone for the help.
