Feature and improvement suggestions

Feedback from users like you help us shape and improve Eos for all productions. We receive a large number of feature requests and suggestions from many sources, including this forum. Your comments and votes help us understand which features you’re passionate about, but there are many additional factors which inform development prioritization for any given release.

The most helpful information you can provide us when commenting on issues is how a particular suggestion would help you. If you describe your use-case and how the suggested change would benefit your work, it lets us gain a much deeper understanding of the need behind the suggestion. Suggestions often have an impact on what we work on, even if we ultimately choose not to implement a suggestion exactly as it’s described. Our ultimate goal is to understand what you and all users need and to create solutions that meet those needs. Occasionally, that’ll mean implementing a suggestion as described, but it usually means working to understand the need behind the suggestion and how we can meet that need for as many users as possible.

While we endeavor to update and respond to popular suggestions, the volume we receive means there will be occasions when we can’t provide an update or response in a timely manner.   • Add ability to toggle a display of the Top and Bottom value of Intensity Effects in the Live Table

    Can it become possible to have a display of the top and bottom (and middle when applicable) values of an Effect in the Intensity field of a given channel in the Live Table? Something like this:

  • Live tab should show Home preset instead of absolute value

    Hi, I would be nice to see name of the home preset in live tab instead of his absolute values. We could easily understand if home values come from Home preset or fixtures ' library. Keep data behaviour to see absolute values of this preset.

  • Tags (for everything, but at least for palettes)

    This would be a great organizational tool. Allowing to quickly filter lists. Would also work great in combination with the search function. It would also open new possibilities when creating macros.

  • A3D - Ability to use Copy To on A3D fixture position information

    It would be great to be able to copy the position of one lamp to another, to speed up tasks such as creating a second lamp for a twofer, or orientating groups of lamps that share many position and orientation points.

  • MS Apply Target to Grouped Objects and/or More than 6 Fields for MS Objects

    It would be great to be able to assign more than 6 Fields to a Magic Sheet Object. Target ID, Intens, Color, Focus, Beam, Next Move, Last Move, and Status makes 8 Fields. So my current workaround is to have multiple Magic Sheet Objects with the same Target...

  • Toggle for the "Home-Breaks-Reference" behaviour

    Hej Folks, I´d love to be able to switch the "Home-Breaks-Reference" on and off as to me it´s sometimes handy and sometimes it makes my life even harder.

  • Default Show File / Merge Patch etc

    There are similar requests to this elsewhere, but ultimately many ways etc could implement it. Basically, in a multi-user venue I want an easy way to ensure our default patch (and perhaps some Macros, and maybe even magic sheets, or DS for some users...

  • GDTF/MVR Support

    Are there any plans to use GDTF/MVR in Eos 3.0/Augment3D? I know Vectorworks support is coming but seeing as Augment3D is not a full replacement for things like Vison and Capture it would be nice to use one "standard" to go between Pre-Viz and Show.
