There are running 2 DP2000 (these are running perfectly)
I’ve recently linkt up a DP8000, and want to test this device.
The DP8000 was running V3.0.0, I forced the DP8000 to load the V3.0.5 software by pressing the 3 buttons at once while powering the device. This works perfect.
The DP8000 is running V3.0.5 (shown in the control panel Hog 3V3.0.5(b2482))
The DP8000 loads the new software but I don’t can get it running.
The display on the DP8000 shows: Connecting, No server, scanning port 6600. 4 The LED near Hog-Net Link is flashing
On the back of the DP8000 the Link LED is on, and the Traffic LED is flashing. (Hog-Net Gigabit – Ethernet)
172.31.x.x and 169.254.x.x are different IP ranges and won't be able to communicate with each other. Try setting everything to 172.31.x.x and try again.
All the IP addresses are starting with 172.031.000.XXX
All the DP’s are in the show.
I can’t get the DP8000 load the V3.1.0
I already forced the DP8000 to load V3.1.0 by pressing 3 buttons at once while powering the device. The DP8000 shows: FORCING SOFTWARE REALOD, and info is scrolling over the screen.
This takes a while and fans are running.
When I check the software in the control panel it still show’s HOG3V3.0.5 (b2482)
Yes I did install the HOGiPC DMX Processor 8000 Firmware into the IPC
The same problem accurse when I try this whit a Roadhog Full Boar.
When you upgraded your IPC did you install the IPC_DP8K app? With out this your DP8K will NOT get the software from the ipc. Also set your iPC to run dhcp and then restart your desk. Reboot and launch a new show then upgrade.
Sounds to me like the 8k app is missing. Upgrade from the hog ipc configuration panel - upgrade it as you would upgrade 3PC.
After you upgraded and restarted your IPC did you turn ON Run DHCP? When you upgrade the ipc this will defaut to obtain an ip. Turn Run DCHP on, restart your desk and try again.
Did you upgrade the IPC Config Panel as well?
We currently have no way of telling the user what version of the IPC_DP8K app is installed.
If this does not work, you can try to force the image onto the DP8K. Launch a new show without the DP powered on. Power on the DP and hold down all 3 buttons, after a few seconds you should see IO disconnect and then a bunch of dots will start scrolling on the display. This mean the 8K is updating.
